Jazz Up Your Fall & Winter Layers
by Sarah Dickey, Sales Professional – Jonesboro
Fall has been late to arrive this year – and, if you’re like me – you crave those lush colors in the leaves drifting down to the ground. The brisk mornings and cooler afternoons beckon for layers. Skinny jeans tucked into your tall boots topped with a loose tunic, camel colored blazer, and a tartan scarf is the best casual outfit for such a day.
Layers of necklaces, stacked bracelets and a watch, or statement earrings can mix perfectly with any fall outfit. Echo the layers you love in clothing with your accessories. Mixing different designers together like Roberto Coin’s delicious Symphony bracelets to the sumptuous Lagos Black Caviar will really make a statement.
As you would mix and match textures of clothing, do the same with your jewelry. Yellow and white gold together, with a dash of rose gold, can take a look from “nice” to “wow” with very little effort. Adding something with high polish to another piece that is hammered or has milgrain looks great. This takes classic elements you may already have in your jewelry box and automatically gives it an elegant, modern feel.
Layers are really on point with fashion right now and help you amp up an everyday look. Beware, though not to wear too many pieces.
Coco Chanel once said, “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.”
This creator of modern style is immortalized in photographs wearing layers upon layers of jewelry. Take a cue from Chanel and be fabulous this fall.
